WARMING BOWL OF APPLE PIE PORRIDGE

Back to porridge and it really is back to porridge with schools returning and no more bank holidays to Christmas (sorry for being soo depressing!) why not make a fresh start with the new routine and provide your whole family with a warming wholesome and nutritious breakfast every morning. This is a delicious porridge recipe that is packed full of goodness, which will leave you feeling satisfied and will keep you going! It’s also part of your 5 a day with fresh apple 🍎 grated into it which makes it perfect for those fussy eaters that won’t eat fruit as it’s totally hidden! It’s easy to prep this porridge the night before and all you have to do is heat it in the morning, also this is a brilliant overnight oats recipe if you don’t have time to have breakfast before work, just place the ingredients in a container and pop it into the fridge and take it with you in the morning! 

Getting kids to eat porridge can be a struggle but by adding lots of flavours and textures to it you can seriously transform a bland bowl of food! You could also try pear instead of apple that would work really well too. Porridge oats are highly nutritious, low-gi and a good source of fibre and therefore will keep you fuller for longer so you won’t have that urge to snack! So why not give this recipe a go!
